Crucifers present the processional cross in the center of
the people of God at worship and lead the choirs into the
worship space. The 8th grade Confirmation students serve
as crucifers during worship services when the choirs sing.
These students are instructed by the pastor and/or designated
persons.Worshippers are encouraged to face the processional cross to
show reverence to Jesus Christ during the beginning confession
and forgiveness and again during the singing of the closing hymn.
