Elders

The mission and duties for the Board of Elders include: conducting public worship in the absence of a pastor, supervising and updating the archives of Zion as needed, encouraging not-communing members toward active church membership, and visiting the sick and needy when called upon to do so.

The Board of Elders consists of three members of the Congregation’s council, with one being elected annually to a three-year term. Each member of this board serves on one of the following committees: 1) Evangelism; 2) Stewardship; 3) Visitation. It is their responsibility to report monthly to the Congregation’s council.
